Wildfox White Label

Ok so regular readers will know that I am a massive Wildfox fan. I love the ethos behind the brand - 'Inspired by sleepovers, beautiful books, fairies, dreams, vintage t-shirts and their friendship, the young designers gave birth to a brand based on love and having fun! Things had gotten too serious in the world of fashion, and it was time for a change.'

Absolutely a huge marketing ploy but sweet non the less. I imagine the Wildfox girls sit looking out onto LA through their studio window, sipping their morning Latte's, wondering how they are going to get those mermaid sequins onto the skeleton tee and most importantly which Fleetwood Mac song they are going to play first to get the creative juices going that morning. The perfect life right?

But back to the real world and their newly released White Label range - for those of you that want something a little more special than your average Wildfox tee this is still full of horses, crests and cutesy Americana with the much loved Wildfox style stamped all over it but offers something a little more grown up.

The Big Egg Hunt

This Easter get ready for The Big Egg Hunt - where over 200 very special eggs are being hidden across the streets of the capital. These eggs have been created by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers and there is also the chance to be the proud owner of one of these unique pieces through the egg auction - but beware some eggs are already up to a grand!

La Boca

 

La Boca is an independent 'design circus' specializing in art & design for the film, music and fashion industries. Their work ranges from limited edition vinyl record sleeves to full scale media campaigns and apparently they enjoy fruit.

I fell in love with these prints they created for the Ray Ban 'Never Hide' campaign. The colours, shapes and fonts are just brilliant.

From 12th January to 1st March the Ultra Lounge on the lower ground floor of Selfridges London will be tansformed into a library as part of the store's Words, Words, Words theme. There will be classes and lectures such as story-telling workshops and hand-writing analysis but also special pop-ups from brands such as Tatty Devine. At Tatty Devine you can order a custom order name or letter necklace and watch it being made then and there, all you have to do is choose which colour perspex you want, add a chain and a charm and go.

A New Look for the Hawaiian Shirt

Thankfully for us the Hawaiian print is one trend this summer that is easier for the girls to wear and get right, than it is for the boys. Mess this one up at your peril guys...

I happened to catch a glimpse of this little beauty at the New Look Spring/Summer '12 Press Day, and I don't know about you but I can't wait to get my hands on it. The faded colours make this incredibly easy to wear with just the right touch of flamingos.

I plan to team with cut off denim shorts and some western ankle boots for a kitsch rockabily vibe this summer. Now all I need is the sun.
